Toni Braxton: ‘As Long as I Live’ SA tour 2019

Grammy award winning, Toni Braxton brought her ‘As Long as I Live’ tour, to South Africa and her first show was at The Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. The songstress gave South Africa an emotional performance for her very first tour in SA on Saturday evening, 9 November 2019. Fans found themselves amazed at Toni whilst she sang her most memorable, iconic and legendary hits.

The evening started off with an opening performance by SAMA award winning Shekhinah, who took us down memory lane with her debut single ‘back to the beach’ and performed some the songs from her debut album, Rose Gold. Shekhinah had fans singing and dancing to her biggest hits such as Suited and Please Mr, as she served the audience with her amazing vocals and elegance throughout her opening.

During the love concert, a man was invited by Toni on stage which resulted in him proposing to his now fiancee on stage while Toni sang ‘breathe again’, in the background. The proposal got the audience screaming and shouting in excitement for a proposal happening on the stage of a love songstress. Fortunately for him, the girlfriend said yes!

Towards the end of the concert, Toni Braxton was awarded with a plaque for her contribution to South African music because of the icon that she is in this country. It was an emotional moment for Toni as she accepted the award that she received.

The night was filled with so  many memorable moments which left the audience feeling emotional and in their feels. Toni ensured that she brings her A game in SA as she served the audience with dance moves that got fans excited to see more.  The show was closed with the song that the tour was named after, As long as I live. Fans sang and danced along to the last song of the concert.
