Soul Pas de Deux

Soul Pas de Deux is hosted by radio personality and renowned ballet dancer Kitty Phetla.  In ballet, a pas de deux [pɑ d(ə) dø]  French, literally meaning "step of two") is a dance duet in which two dancers, typically a male and a female, perform together. The show Soul Pas de Deux aims to invoke a desire to take someone’s hand and dance with them soulfully.   It is also a show for music snobs – those who not only care to dance to the music but also care about the story behind the music.

Kitty Phetla is a seasoned ballerina and equally a  radio personality. A senior soloist and Choreographer with Joburg Ballet by day and Radio presenter by night. A self-proclaimed tomboy, Phetla toured Russia as the first black dancer to embody the famous Dying Swan on stage and  by  special request, was given the honour of showing her swan to the late Nelson Mandela. Today honoured alongside Madiba through her feature in 21 Icons, Phetla lives his legacy through dance. She has over a decade of radio experience having worked for Alex FM and Radio 2000.

Kitty is also a Standard Bank Young Artist 2019
for Dance.
