Fridays are known for good times and new music. This week, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small return with a new single called Abalele featuring one of the most in-demand voices in the game today, Ami Faku. The Scorpion Kings and Ami’s collaboration results in a dance number fit to start any weekend off right.

When Kabza De Small’s teasers of the song trended back in July, fans knew that they were in for a treat. With the single finally, it’s safe to say that it was well worth the wait. Abalele is a tune that plays in the background while enjoying sundowners with friends. The house number features some soothing vocals from Ami over tribal drums and shakers that work on a night out or in. It’s the blend of vocal delivery and the tone of the song that makes that listenable. The song emphasizes the need for forgiveness in love and life and Ami’s melodic performance encapsulates the peacefulness that’s associated with the song’s message.

When asked about her experience working with Kabza and Maphorisa, the songstress from Port Elizabeth had this to say; “I’m very excited about the single, and working with the Scorpion Kings was an incredible experience. I’ve been in the studio working on new music, that’s why I have been so quiet,”

With Vth season promising more Ami Faku singles this summer, it’s an exciting time for fans. This one is safe to play if you get handed the aux anytime in the immediate future. Abalele is available to stream or download globally here:
