Johannesburg– Multiple award winning singer, songwriter and performer, Nadia Nakai has much to celebrate and as such has given thanks her fans for relentlessly supporting her career from day one. Her highly anticipated debut album Nadia Naked boasts 17 tracks that see Nadia taking her place among Africa’s creatively assured, distinctive and formidable artists.
On the 20th of November 2019, Nadia Nakai was awarded Best Female award for her debut Album Nadia Naked at the South African Hip Hop Awards in Johannesburg. The SA Hip Hop Awards are an annual event in which South African hip hop artists gather to perform live, as well as receive their Pyramid awards. She also performed her charting single “More Drugs” ft. Tshego at the ceremony.
Nadia Nakai then flew to Nigeria, Lagos for the Africa Music Awards 2019 on the 23rd November where she performed her hit track “Imma Boss”. The awards event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent. Nadia Nakai brought back 2 awards: Best Female Southern Africa and Best Artiste in African Hip Hop. The year 2019 for the rapper has proven to one of the best years of her career, if it’s not sealing endorsements) ; performing worldwide; receiving awards its doing what she loves best which is making timeless music.
