Ntsiki Mazwai has been known to be vocal when it comes to the streets of twitter, some will say a little controversial with strong views but we glad to see that she has put twitter wars behind her to focus cooking up some new music for us.
The songstress took to Twitter to make the big announcement that she will be dropping her new album on 27th of April which in South Africa is celebrated as Freedom Day. Ntsiki is a strong activist when it comes to owning her Africanism, it makes sense for her to drop this album on Freedom Day. The album is titled “Masterpiece” featuring no one on the album.
“I have travelled far and dug deep. I have been on a lonely journey trying to find myself. ..until finally i found my MasterPiece- Ntsiki commented.
This is Mazwai’s 3rd album and it follows her 2007 debut album Ma Miya and 2013’s Ndigubani.
I guess we have a date with Ntsiki on the 27th of April at the Soweto Theatre. Here’s a small teaser as to what to expect on her much anticipated album.
