Chad le Clos of South Korea won his second medal at the 2016 Fina Short Course World Championships on Thursday when he claimed the silver medal in the 200 metres freestyle.
Taehwan Park of South Korea came first in a time of 1:41.03, a new games record. Le Clos finished in a time of 1:41.65 and Russia’s Aleksandr Krasnykh came third in a time of 1:41.95.
Le Clos bagged gold on Wednesday, when he won gold in the 200m butterfly. He claimed gold in both events at the previous World Championships in 2014, where he also won the 100m and 50m butterfly events.
Le Clos, who is a four time Olympic and four time Long Course World Championships medalist, has now won seven gold and two silver medals in Short Course World Championship events. He is likely to make it to three other finals in this tournament.
