Congolese singer Fally Ipupa is set to perform in Arua, Uganda this December.
The award winning singer was booked to perform in Arua because of his massive fan base in the Northern region of Uganda.
The singer is reportedly booked by a Ugandan beer company “The reason we chose Fally Ipupa is because people in Arua love him and his music. They relate well with Lingala,” said the company’s PR.
Fally Ipupa is not only a singer, he is also a songwriter, dancer, philanthropist, guitarist and producer.
He dropped his first album titled Droit Chemin in 2006 that album went on to sell over 100,000 units.
He has won the Kora Awards for Best Artist or Group from Central Africa, the MTV Africa Music Awards 2010 for Best Video (for Sexy Dance) and Best Francophone Artist. He has also won the AFRIMMA award for Best Artist Central Africa.
