Andile Ngubeni popularly known as Anzo, is set to drop a single this Friday ahead of the release of his EP, 3310. The EP’s title pays homage to the rapper’s hometown in Estcourt KZN by using its postcode. The EP which is set to drop on August 27 serves as the rapper, singer, and songwriter’s debut solo project.
Anzo is an acclaimed artist in his own right and this project will be able to showcase his talents in a single body of work, something that fans are not used to. Anzo has rocked some of the most notable stages and featured on prominent albums and singles, so hearing what the Durban-born MC has been cooking up with veteran producer, Vuyo Manyike is an exciting prospect due to the new waters Anzo is navigating.
Dlala, which drops this Friday, is an afro-soul, toe-tapping number that will get the listeners moving and serves as merely a snippet to the different sounds and vibes that Anzo is planning to bring on 3310. The song encourages the release of inhibitions and worries, inviting the listener to let go of burdens and embody the meaning of the title, to play.
With 2 SAMA nominations and chart-topping singles to his name, there is an air of excitement leading up to the release of the music this talented artist has been making. Make sure to add Dlala to your weekend playlist and be on the lookout for 3310 which is due to be a treat for the fans.
